Nibha Varma is a Toronto-based abstract artist whose creative journey is deeply rooted in self-expression, personal experiences, and a lifelong appreciation for art. She first shared her work publicly in 2010, contributing a painting to a silent auction in support of a charitable cause. Over the years, art has become more than a creative pursuit for Nibha; it has been a source of comfort, reflection, and inspiration, offering her a place to turn during some of life’s most meaningful and challenging moments.
Nibha’s artistic inspiration and technique comes from her mother, who is also an artist. Through this shared passion, Nibha developed an appreciation for the beauty of creativity and the freedom of expressing oneself through different mediums.
In 2013, Nibha held her first art exhibition, Expose, at Toronto’s Gladstone Hotel, unveiling a collection of 30 pieces to the public. This milestone marked an important chapter in her artistic journey, allowing her to share her vision and creative expression with a wider audience.Today, Nibha continues to explore her creativity through custom commissions and original artwork, experimenting with watercolour, acrylics, and drawing. Her work ranges from abstract compositions that evoke emotion through colour, texture, and movement to thought-provoking pieces that explore the ironies, contradictions, and unexpected truths of the world around us.
